Use

As of SAP ECC 6.0, Enhancement Package 3 (EA-APPL 603), business function Project System (OPS_PS_CI_1), the following enhancements to Project-Oriented Procurement (ProMan, transaction CNMM) are available:

• Integration of Progress Tracking for material components
• Additional tab page for customer enhancement
• Changing material assignment using Drag&Drop
• Grouping materials and external services into a purchase requisition

With ProMan, you can display all procurement-related data and documents for a specific object in different overviews. The information from the procurement process is consolidated from various applications, such as the Project system, Materials Management, and Production Planning and Control.

From the ProMan overviews, you can carry out various procurement-related functions such as creating a purchase order for a purchase, posting a goods issue for network components, transferring stock, and on.

Effects on Customizing

You can deactivate the customer-specific view and the Progress Tracking view using the ProMan profile. You do this in the Implementation Guide (IMG) by carrying out the activity Define Profile, under Project System → Material → Project-Oriented Procurement (ProMan)
